SUITING

This winter, Dormeuil brings the distant lands of Ladakh to you. In Persian, Pashmina refers to the incredibly fine undercoat of the Changthangi cashmere goats. Grazing at high altitudes of the Himalayas, the goats are combed once a year at springtime, resulting in one of the rarest and softest cashmere fibres in the world.

This RWS certified bunch features Super 170's wool spun from precious Pashmina cashmere fibres and merino wool. Boasting a 2/142 yarn count in warp and weft, the final cloth is as luxuriously soft as it is lightweight, the perfect canvas for winter jacketing and suiting.

To complement these qualities, the colour palette spread across 28 references ranges from the calming tones of sage and forest green to a spectrum of beiges, classic greys, and blues. Creative dressers will also find timeless motifs like Prince of Wales and hopsack weave.

Dormeuil has adapted this highly desirable fibre to contemporary dressing, a testament to both heritage and innovation. It is said: “All Pashmina is cashmere but all cashmere is not Pashmina”.
