Indigenous to the high Andes of South America, vicuñas are a protected breed. They are highly sought after for their fleece’s extreme softness and warmth, a product of a natural habitat characterised by extreme temperature fluctuations. The vicuña's fine and insulating coat is made of hollow, air-filled fibres with a microscopic scale structure that creates air pockets, providing exceptional warmth. With a diameter of just 12 microns, these fibres rank amongst the world's finest.

This season, Dormeuil offers vicuña in two distinct weights: 330 grams (jacketing) and 430 grams (coating). All references boast our traditional Zibeline finish.
