For his recent tour of Pakistan, Prince William selected a bespoke Sherwani by local designer Naushemian (naushemian.com). Hand beaded at cuff and collar, the garment's emerald colour was a nod to the national flag. Surprisingly, the prince was the first British royal to wear the traditional garment, pairing his with a silver watch and black boots. Why more Western gentlemen haven't adopted this de rigueur style of Everywhere Else remains a style mystery. Certainly, the stylish men of South Asia, Asia, Arabia, and Africa know a thing or two about looking cool in hot weather.
